Many wonder what painting they have will look good as a scarf. I get the above questions often. I have not seen one painting that would not be wonderful printed on silk.

SOME TIPS:

• IF YOU WANT A SQUARE SCARF, then you need a square image file. Most paintings are not square, it is not the usual format for framing or over the counter canvases. Most of the time I can make a rectangular image into a square with your advice and approval.

• IF YOU WANT A LONG NARROW SCARF, likewise most paintings are not 'scarf proportioned'. I can show you options to transform your painting into a long scarf, often by putting the image on both ends, or repeating it along the scarf. But you will get to see it before it is printed and again offer your advice & approval.

• WHOEVER TAKES THE PHOTO OF THE PAINTING needs to set the camera for the best resolution and size. Cameras on phones are excellent these days. Check the resulting photo to be sure it is in focus and the colors look right.

As wilth paintings, photographs make wonderful scarves. I've printed great naature pix and animals and scenes and the same thing as noted above - if it looks good on your viewer it will print well whether as a square or a long scarf. Usually nature photos are the easiest to make into either square or long format. Nature is very forgiving.

• I CAN PRINT OLD PHOTOS. I've done old maps and old family photos and restored photos of ancient Asian prints. I can restore digittally any boo-boos that happened to the photo over time. BUT, DON''T SEND THE ORIGINAL. Only send a good reproduction of the photo or a scanned photo to restore.

• KID'S ART - your own children's drawings for Grandma, or a memory for yourself. Small scarves of children's art can be a group project for pre-school or kindergarten fund raisers.
